Fees and billing arrangements:   Fees are payable at the time of consultation by cash, cheque, MasterCard or Visa.  The GP’s at this practice bulk bill Veteran Affair Gold card holders, full pensioners and childhood immunisations. If you have difficulty paying on the day please discuss this with your doctor. Any procedures that are carried out during a visit will attract a higher fee. Standard fees associated with an appointment are as follows :

Short Consultation : $45

Standard Consultation : $85

Long Consultation : $135

Appointment prices for some doctors may vary. Reduced rates are available for part pensioners and health care card holders.

Prescription Renewals: Under certain circumstances, prescription renewals are available without having to see the doctor. Please allow 48 hours for the prescription request to be processed. There will be a fee charged for this service.  In some cases your doctor may require you to make an appointment to discuss your medications.

Immunisations and Vaccinations: Immunisations are available by appointment with both your GP and our Practice Nurses.  We offer Travel Vaccination advice along with Q Fever clinics.  During the months before winter the practice also hold regular “Flu Vax” clinics for our patients.

Urgent appointments: We endeavour to accommodate all urgent appointments. Please note that these appointments are usually “fit in” appointments and will therefore only be 10 minutes in duration. It would be appreciated if you could keep this consultation to only the urgent issue – the doctor will not accommodate multiple issues.

Do Not Attend : All appointment cancellations must be made 24 hours before your appointment. If you do not attend or cancel within 24 hours of your appointment a fee will apply. All accounts must be settled before another appointment can be scheduled.

Appointment Types : The practice works on a 15 minute appointment system for a standard appointment. We recommend that you make a longer appointment for the following:

• Complete Medical Checks including CASA, Fire Fighting Medicals etc

• Care Plans

• Complex medical issues

• Women’s checks

• Excisions

• 4 Year Old Health Check

• Any other concerns that will take longer then 15 minutes to address
